Introduction
For the past 30 years, South Downs has been a glorious family home, re-moulded into a self catering hideaway. It has a truly unique position to reach local towns and villages within minutes but still remains in an idyllic and protected area of outstanding beauty.
The entrance to the property is something that sets the scene for what lies behind, it truly is a unique family house that has something for all, no matter the age.
Inside
Crittle windows open straight out on to the immediate gardens with far reaching views over the South Downs. The house is spacious but intimate, with seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. Each room has a story to tell from the families stamp of visiting many countries and cultures.
Oak is a fundamental material used throughout the house to stand the test of time, but modern and eco-freindly touches can be found. Hidden above the flat roof are solar panels feeding a Tesla battery supply, with the family making the first step of a sustainable and conscientious dwelling for the future.
Outside
With over four acres of immediate grounds, and an outdoor swimming pool (heated by an air source pump) again re-enforces our ambition for sustainability. The lawns lends itself for family games, alongside a summer house that pays homage to ‘Brambly Hedge & The Wind in the Willows’.
